2. Use of this website

The content of this website is provided for general information, product guidance and purchasing purposes. We may update, change or remove website content at any time without notice.

You agree not to use this website:

Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

3. Product information

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, images, dimensions, specifications, prices, availability and guidance are accurate and up to date. However, occasional errors, omissions or changes may occur.

Product images are provided for illustration and presentation purposes. Colours, finishes, candlelight appearance, glass texture, packaging and product details may vary slightly from the images shown on the website.

You are responsible for checking that a product is suitable for your intended use before ordering. This is especially important for hospitality, event, hotel, restaurant, bar, venue, commercial, no-flame or safety-sensitive environments.

Where dimensions, quantities, safety notes, charging guidance or lead times are important to your order, please check these details carefully before purchase or request confirmation from us before placing your order.

4. Product suitability and venue responsibility

Many of our products are designed for hospitality, events, restaurants, bars, hotels, venues, private dining, weddings and display use. It is your responsibility to ensure that the products you select are suitable for your venue, operating environment, safety requirements and local rules.

This includes, where relevant:

We may provide guidance and recommendations, but final responsibility for product suitability and safe use rests with you.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits your statutory rights.

5. Prices and VAT

All prices are shown in pounds sterling.

Where VAT applies, it will be charged at the applicable rate.

We reserve the right to update prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted, unless there has been an obvious pricing error.

If a product has been listed at an incorrect price due to an error, we may contact you before accepting the order to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

6. Online orders

Some products on our website may be available to purchase directly online. When you place an online order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

After you place an order, you may receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order, but it does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

Your order is accepted when we confirm that the goods are available and ready for dispatch, or when we dispatch the goods to you.

We reserve the right not to accept an order where:

If we cannot accept your order, we will contact you and refund any payment already taken for the unavailable goods.

7. Trade enquiries and quotations

Some Danmade products are supplied on a trade enquiry or quotation basis. This may include, but is not limited to:

Submitting a trade enquiry does not create an order or contract. A contract is only formed once we issue a quotation or order confirmation and you accept it in writing, by payment, deposit or another agreed method.

Trade quotations may include:

Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid only for the period shown on the quotation.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a quotation before it has been accepted.

8. Business customers and consumers

We sell to both consumers and business customers.

A consumer is an individual buying products for personal use and not mainly for business, trade or professional purposes.

A business customer is a person, company, venue, organisation, event operator, hospitality business, reseller, interior designer, contractor or other trade buyer purchasing products mainly for business, trade, professional or commercial use.

Some rights and cancellation rules may differ depending on whether you are buying as a consumer or as a business customer.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any legal rights that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Payment

For online orders, payment is usually required at checkout.

For trade orders, payment terms will be confirmed in the quotation, invoice or order confirmation.

We may require full payment, part payment or a deposit before ordering, reserving, preparing or dispatching goods.

Goods remain the property of Danmade Limited until paid for in full.

10. Delivery and lead times

Delivery times vary depending on the product, stock availability, order quantity and supply method.

Any delivery dates or lead times given are estimates unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

For online orders, we will aim to deliver goods within the stated delivery period. Where no delivery period has been agreed, we will aim to deliver within a reasonable time.

For trade, special-order products, lead times will usually be confirmed as part of the quotation or order confirmation.

Delivery costs, methods and estimated timescales are set out in our Delivery & Lead Times Policy or confirmed before your order is accepted.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including supplier delays, courier delays, customs delays, transport disruption, weather, strikes, shortages or other events beyond our control.

If there is a significant delay, we will contact you where possible.

11. Delivery address and failed delivery

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.

We are not responsible for failed delivery, delay, additional charges or lost goods caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by you.

If goods are returned to us because delivery could not be completed, we may charge for redelivery.

For trade and business deliveries, you must ensure that someone is available to receive the goods at the agreed delivery address.

12. Risk and ownership

Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to the delivery address you provided, or when they are collected by you or your appointed carrier.

Ownership of the goods remains with Danmade Limited until we have received full payment.

13. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your cancellation, return and refund rights depend on whether you are buying as a consumer or as a business customer, and whether the product is a stocked item, special-order item, custom item or trade order.

Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

Where you are a consumer and the law gives you the right to cancel an online order, you must notify us within the applicable cancellation period.

Where goods have already been dispatched, you may be responsible for returning the goods to us in unused, complete and resalable condition, unless the goods are faulty or not as described.

Refunds will be processed in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable law.

14. Special-order, custom and trade products

Some products may be special-order, custom, factory-sourced, made-to-order or supplied specifically for a trade customer or project.

These products may not be cancellable or returnable once ordered, unless they are faulty, damaged, not as described, or unless cancellation rights apply by law.

This may include, but is not limited to:

We will aim to identify special-order or non-standard products before the order is confirmed.

15. Damaged, faulty or incorrect goods

Please check your goods as soon as possible after delivery.

If goods arrive damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us promptly with:

We may ask you to return the goods or provide further information before we can resolve the issue.

Where goods are confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, we will offer a suitable remedy in accordance with your legal rights. This may include replacement, repair, refund or another agreed solution.

Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, failure to follow instructions, unsuitable storage, incorrect charging, unsafe placement, normal wear and tear or accidental damage after delivery may not be treated as a product fault.

16. Product care and safety

You must use all products safely and in accordance with any instructions, warnings, packaging information, product pages, product care guides or guidance supplied by Danmade.

This includes, where relevant:

Additional product guidance may be provided on our Product Care & Safety page.

Failure to follow product guidance may result in damage, injury, reduced product life or unsafe use.

17. LED products, charging and batteries

Rechargeable LED candles, rechargeable table lamps, charging trays, charging bases, remote controls, power adaptors and related products must be used according to the instructions supplied.

You must ensure that:

Run times, charge times and battery performance are approximate and may vary depending on product age, usage, temperature, charging routine and operating conditions.

Additional guidance may be provided on our Charging & Battery Guide page.

18. Hospitality, venue and event use

Where products are used in restaurants, hotels, bars, event venues, wedding venues, spas, public areas, commercial premises or hospitality environments, you are responsible for ensuring that the products are used in line with:

We may recommend products for particular uses, but our recommendations do not replace your own safety checks, venue checks or professional advice.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for:

For business customers, our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim, except where the law does not allow such a limitation.

This may include supplier delays, transport delays, strikes, shortages, severe weather, fire, flood, accident, war, terrorism, pandemics, government action, customs delays, technical failure or other events beyond our control.
